I said Brrr it's cold in here...it must be the winter in the atmosphere!

So breakfast was delicious and it wasn't long after that I was bundled up and outside working away. The day was a stubborn start as I had to fight an excessively oversized oil hose till it decided to cooperate but I did pursue and finally won the battle against the stubborn hose. Intake manifold was a breeze and the wiring harness is now completely labeled and out of the way.
End of the day came at around 3pm when the deep freeze suddenly happened and the temperature went from comfortable to frigid. Exhaust manifolds got disconnected from the heads and it now hangs off the hot side turbo pipe. Tranny to motor bolts are all out on the driver side yet need to remove the turbo, exhaust and screamer pipe to get at the bolts on the passenger side.

Back to work first thing in the morning but will try my best to crawl back under tomorrow after work and hopefully drop off the exhaust to make room for the final tranny bolts.

Took a few quick pics of the injectors I pulled out last night.

1260cc injectors....Good thing I work at a bicycle shop...if not my environmental foot print would be far too large!

As always...thanks for reading and be sure to follow!

Thus it begins....

So walked into the garage removed the hood to have a little extra light and this is what lay before me. Having never pulled the motor out of a subaru before and with all the piping and hoses seeming to be extra big and more in the way than ever thus it begins...

I figured started with the messy stuff...so out came came the oil and coolant. Not having a funnel to pour it into a bottle made for an interesting experience. Big shout out to Jake at this point for stopping by and lending a helping hand from here on out.

Out came the rad..didn't really feel like having it get stabbed plus from all the internet kilometers I have gotten in the past few days it makes for alot of wiggle room.

It looks like my intake manifold was put on after the wiring harness was run through it a dozen and a half times so its going to have to come out to prevent me from cutting cables....still a little undecided on what I want to do. Out came the injectors and the fuel line and into bed I went.

Today's goal is to completely separate the wiring harness from the motor disconnect the tranny and see if I can get at the motor mounts without having to take apart the maze of exhaust and manifold piping that lines the underside of the car.

Now to see whats for breakfast...

WISH ME LUCK :)

I won...

So today I got an email from CASC informing me about a driver development program coming up in may and June. 750 dollars was the entry amount and I spent all day trying to figure out how I was going to ever afford it. Sitting in front of the Tv watching pinks I get an email. It was from the CASC time attack cordinator informing me that I had been selected from the raffle I entered at the Canadian Motorsport Exhibition.

A day I'll remember forever.

WOW...Its been twenty minutes and I can't close my mouth I have a grin from ear to ear :)

Day 1

Hello world,

So today after having procrastinated for the past few days about where to begin I figured I would take a stab at it. My names Nuwan, I'm 22 years old and I have a dream to race automobiles. Over the last two years the passion has grown more and more. I've read several biographies into the lives of the great drivers who lived before and they all seem to have started out at a very tender age. Self motivated and funded with a day job to support my hobby and passion I start the process of trying to convert my street car into a track car first for lapping days and time attack events and then secondly for road racing it during the 2012 season.

This is what I have to start with! Follow along as it transforms from a road car to a track machine!
