Race seat ... take one!

So today started like any other Sunday...slept in an hour and then got up and got ready for work. The plan all week had been to do a battery relocate but not having a battery made that a little difficult. Out came the seats and the carpet and so did the drill and tape measure. Kirkey seat is on its way in should be mounted and ready to go within the next few days.

Pics to come....

Rules just make for hard work!

A quick look at the two exhaust cutouts that exist underneath the drivers seat of the car.

Now from what I recall CSCS rules state that all exhaust must exist outside of the body line of the car. Time to pay a visit to Parts Source and see if I can come up with some creative side-exit exhaust pipes!

Drivers start your engines...

So work ended at 7 and decided to head out for a little go karting...50 laps later I am defiantly a little sore and fastest recorded lap of the day was a 19.426 which was 3rd fastest of the day...so needless to say stoked on that.

Had an opportunity come up to get some shoes put on for no charge so was glad to take up the offer. Big shout out to Mr. Cook for helping out and keeping the flame alive. Took a quick picture before the wheels got carried out of the basement and can't wait to see them on the car!

The verdict is in...

So the long awaited terrifying moment finally arrived.
Two spun bearings
A mandatory crank replacement
A cam that needs to be fixed or replaced
Spark plugs (meh)
Oil pump is iffy
Hacked up hardware that needs all the threads to be heli-coiled

So all in all not a happy camper and will be posting everything I own for sale in the next few days to come to try generate some cash flow!

A quick breath....

So for those of you who don't know I presently work in the bike industry and its been a long week with alot of setup and tear down as a result of the Toronto International Bike Show. Prior to all the work which began early the morning of the 2nd I got a chance to get my motor out and drop it off at Magnus.

The whole process took about 8 hours including all the breaks I took and a big shout out to Alex B. and Jacob C for stopping by and giving a helping hand. I presently sit waiting for a call to let me know whats wrong with my motor and go from there. May is coming up soon!

A quick agenda of the things to get done within the next two to three weeks include:
1. Sell anything and everything to generate cash flow
2. Create a lip and splitter
3. Clean engine bay
4. Relocate battery
5. Install Kirkey seat and harness.

Please follow along as I aim to create a splitter and lower lip out of nothing. I have a basic idea that I want to try out and adjust accordingly!
